Dimensional Inspection
Thorough dimensional inspection to verify that every casting conforms precisely to customer drawings and tolerances.

Service overview
Dimensional Inspection
Dimensional Inspection is the process by which AFM verifies that every casting meets the geometric and dimensional requirements specified in customer drawings and technical documentation. Using calibrated measurement tools and structured inspection procedures, our quality team checks critical dimensions, tolerances and features across every batch.
Inspection is carried out at key stages of the production process, including pattern verification, post-machining checks and pre-shipment review, as well as on finished castings. This multi-stage approach ensures that any dimensional deviation is identified and addressed early, before it can affect downstream processes or customer operations.
Our customers receive components they can put straight to work: measured, verified and fit for purpose.
01
Calibrated Measurement Equipment
All inspection tools are regularly calibrated to traceable standards, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of every measurement taken.
02
Drawing-Based Inspection
Inspections are conducted directly against customer-supplied drawings and specifications, verifying all critical dimensions and geometric features.
03
Multi-Stage Verification
Dimensional checks are performed at multiple points throughout the production process, not just at final inspection.
04
Inspection Records & Reporting
Dimensional inspection results are documented and available to customers as part of AFM's quality reporting and traceability package.
